Saving A Web Page:

  1. Open the web page....
  2. View the source (instruction on how to view source)
    This is the absolute minimum required to create a webpage...no colors...no frill...no words.

    SAVE THE SOURCE (Web Page) USING A SIMPLE TEXT EDITOR:
    **PREFERRED METHOD**
  3. File -> Save As
  4. Change the type to "All Files"
    • Name your file by typing the file name in the box labeled "File name:"

    • Click Save
    SAVE THE WEB PAGE THROUGH THE WEB BROWSER:
  5. File -> Save As
    • Name your file by typing the file name in the box labeled "File name:"

    Note: When you save the webpage using this method, any and all images (pictures) that you see on the web page will be saved in a separate folder. This is a default action of your browser. We will discuss this is greater detail later on. For now the simplest method for saving your web pages is to save the source through the text editor
