The Computer Science Program is designed to provide students with fundamental training in the theoretical and practical
aspects of Computer Science. Coupled with the program's strong mathematics component, this training provides graduates with the
necessary background for employment in a wide variety of computing fields or for a smooth entry into graduate level study.
In addition, the Department provides service courses to assist students of all majors in mastering fundamental
computer concepts and a variety of programming languages.

The program addresses a number of career opportunities within the curriculum. The Computer Engineering option is suitable
for students who are interested in the design and implementation of hardware. The Computer Information Science option qualifies
students for employment in business environments.
